About Burpengary Library

Moreton Bay Regional Council’s Burpengary Library is located at 121 Station Road, halfway between the train station and the main shopping centre and is an important part of the Burpengary Recreation Complex.

Our ease of access and rear parking as well as proximity to the community hall and sports field all facilitate access to our resources and unique collection, the Sports Equipment Library. Our local Councillor has an office on the corner of the building, which enables residents to combine a visit to their Councillor with a visit to the library.

We also feature internet-connected computers for a small fee, where you can type word documents or scan, print and photocopy. You may also use a free PC that is available for 15 minutes, to quickly check your webmail or print a document from your portable drive.

Burpengary provides many activities for young and old alike, for example storytime, school holiday programs, Born 2 Read, Community Chinwag morning teas, Scribblers Ink writers group and a varied range of workshops. To find out what’s on check the Moreton Living Newsletter, your local branch's What’s On brochure or visit our library website.

Additional community services include a monthly community bus which visits a different library each time, or homebound services that will deliver materials door to door for those unable to leave their homes. We also have a display case and picture rail for community members to showcase their creativity or artistic works.

Call in - whatever your learning or leisure needs, our friendly, knowledgeable staff is ready to help you.
