About Bribie Island Library

Moreton Bay Regional Council's Bribie Island Library is located at the corner of First Avenue and Welsby Parade in Bongaree, and provides a welcoming and comfortable environment for residents of and visitors to Bribie Island.

Bribie Island Library houses over 40,000 titles, including an extensive Large Type collection, for the many retired residents on the island. It is also the perfect place to bring the kids. Bribie Library has homework help sessions twice a week during school term, regular programs and workshops for teens and, of course, story time on Wednesdays and Fridays at 10.00am.

The learning doesn't end with the kids - Bribie Library hosts many informational workshops, events and displays for adults. Bribie Library also runs a home library service in which volunteers will deliver library materials to those unable to leave their homes. The library also features over 140 magazine titles, a large DVD collection, and provides internet access and computers with MS Office suite, including Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Publisher.

If you're looking to improve your computing skills, make sure you enquire about internet and email classes. The library also provides classes in downloading eBooks, eResources and audiobooks.
