About Deception Bay Library

Moreton Bay Regional Council’s Deception Bay Library is located at the corner of Captain Cook Parade and Bayview Terrace, and provides a welcoming and comfortable environment for the multicultural residents of the Deception Bay area to meet, share and enjoy the resources of the library.

With outstanding community programs such as the Let’s Read project, the provision of learning space for the Flexible Learning Centre, and a variety of workshops, Deception Bay Library brings the community together with a wide range of activities. Artists and art lovers are both served by our famous Art Nook, where local artists’ works are displayed for all to see.

Deception Bay Library is the perfect place to bring the kids for homework help or fun. We have a Wii challenge once a term for teenagers, holiday activities for all ages, and don’t forget our weekly story time on Tuesdays from 10.30 to 11.00 am.

We also feature internet-connected PCs loaded with useful software should you wish to go online, create a document, or just play a game or two. If you’re looking to improve your computing skills, make sure you inquire about the internet and email classes. We also offer classes to help you access the catalogue, elibrary and online databases from home.

Additional community services include the Library Limo, a monthly community bus that will transport you to and from the library, and homebound services that will deliver materials to those unable to leave their homes.

Call in - whatever your learning or leisure needs, our friendly, knowledgeable staff is ready to help you.
