About Redcliffe City Library
Redcliffe Library is located near the Redcliffe Jetty and Central Business District. Co-located with the Redcliffe Art Gallery and Special Needs Toy Library, the complex boasts a large multi-purpose foyer, two flexible meeting rooms and a large enclosed deck, plus plenty of shady parking.
Library users can access the internet and online databases, and genealogists can search a vast array of resources from books and magazines to microfilm and microfiche records, CD-ROMs and the internet. With more than just the look of a contemporary space, the library provides the option of self-service convenience while maintaining a personal touch.
Library programs and resources have been developed to cater for the people of our region. The variety of exciting activities and programs includes
- regular Rhyme Time and Story telling sessions for the very young , featuring puppet shows
- book clubs, holiday activities and workshops for school aged children and teenagers
- book clubs, author visits and seminars
Local Heritage enthusiasts will enjoy the Local History Room which houses a broad and deep collection of documentary resources recording the social and cultural history of the Redcliffe community.
Our community bus service picks up local elderly residents and transports them to and from the library. Our homebound service delivers a range of library materials to those unable to leave their homes.
